Traffic stop leads to multiple charges
A traffic stop by officers of the Pocono Mountain Regional police has led to multiple charges being faced by the driver.
Police said about 2 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, officers stopped a vehicle along SR611 in Tobyhanna for several motor vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as Deron Joseph, 45, of Mt. Pcoono.
He was found to be under the influence and in possession of cocaine, police said. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. In addition to the traffic violations he is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) and drug counts, police added.
