A Tamaqua resident was injured when the vehicle she was a passenger in was involved in a two vehicle crash in Lehigh County. State police at Fogelsville said the crash occurred about 2:14 p.m. on Friday, July 1, along SR100 in Upper Milford Township.

Troopers said Shelley M. Leber, 50, of East Greenville, Montgomery County, was stopped in a 2000 Dodge Intrepid at a stop sign with Wayne D. Defranco, 50, of Easton, driving a 2003 Ford E350 van stopped behind Leber. Defranco failed to see Leber not moving and his van hit the bumper of the Intrepid.

Troopers said Leber and passenger Charlene M. McGuinness, 30, of Tamaqua, were injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Defranco and three juvenile passengers with Leber, females ages 7, 4, and 2, all from Tamaqua, were not injured.

Troopers cited Defranco for stop signs and yield signs.
