State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 6:55 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, at the intersection of SR61 and Manheim Road, in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Tim Kunkelman, 36, of Minersville, was driving a 1998 Buick Century LTD northbound on 61 and stopped for a red traffic signal at the intersection.

Alyssa F. Rhody, 18, of Schuylkill Haven, was operating a 1999 Audi A4 Quattro westbound on Manheim Road and attempting to go through the intersection and had the green light.

Kunkelman drove forward through the red light and the front of his vehicle struck the left rear side of Rhody's car.

Rhody was injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., Pottsville, for treatment. Kunkelman and two passengers and a passenger with Rhody were all not injured.

Troopers cited Kunkelman for a red light violation.
