Judge's daughter home safe from Egypt
The daughter of a Schuylkill County judge is one of many Americans who were trapped in Cairo, Egypt, where protests have been raging against the current controlling regime.
Laura Dolbin, daughter of Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin and Susan Ney Dolbin, of Pottsville, who is a senior psychology and history major at the University of Delaware and nine fellow students were in Egypt for further studies. In a call to her parents Dolbin spoke of watching rioters from the rooftop of the dormitory she and her fellow students are housed.
The university attempted to get to students out of the country Friday but all flights were cancelled, however, American authorities had announced it will be flying Americans volunteering to leave out of the Cairo Airport as soon as flights could be arranged.
Last night Dolbin and fellow students returned to the United States safely. Dolbin was greeted at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York by her parents and other family members.
