The Carbon County Board of Commissioners approved a plan, calling for a possible non-binding referendum on the part of the county's electorate to determine how the voters feel about a proposal for a county-wide police force. Commissioner Dean D. W. DeLong said it will be merely a sentiment vote and will serve as a guide in any future moves on the suggestion advanced last week by the Bowmanstown Borough Council.
