Seminar, training requests approved by Carbon officials

Carbon County commissioners on Thursday approved several requests for county employees to attend seminars and training sessions.

Adult Probation: Joseph Berke, Kim Cooper, Jillian McGinley, Joseph Bettine and Clifford Eckhart will attend a seminar on street crime in Quakertown, Bucks County. The cost is $295 per person for the conference fee, in addition to mileage and meals.

Corrections: Steven Markovich and Kim Kostak will attend a Suicide Prevention and Intervention Instructor course in Elizabethtown, Lancaster County. Cost is mileage and meals.

Emergency Management Agency: EMC Mark Nalesnik and Megan Fredericks will attend the PEMA Eastern Area Quarterly Training seminar in Wyomissing, Berks County, at a cost of mileage and meals.
