Nesquehoning Junior Girl Scout Troop 34101 teamed up with Brad McMillan from Ma-Luk Sled Dog Adventures to earn their Dog Sledding Badge. Girls learned about different types of sleds, how to care for the sled dogs and how to hitch them up to the sled. Each girl got a chance to ride on the sled. The girls were particularly impressed with tow dog "Peaches" who had raced in the Iditarod in Alaska. The girls who attended and earned their badge are from left to right Jocilyn Steigerwalt, Mya Jefferson, Tabitha Marsh, Haley Karnish, Courtney Kovatch, Kassidy Doolittle, and Talie Arner.
