Hazmat and first responder classes held at West Penn Fire Company

The West Penn Fire Co #1 hosted a four-hour Hazardous Materials and First Responder Awareness training class recently at the fire house. Local volunteer firefighters and personnel from West Penn Fire, along with Tamaqua's American Hose, Citizens, East End and South Ward fire companies attended. Other fire companies attending also consisted of Mount Carbon, Coaldale, East Penn, and West End Hose. Penn Mahoning and Mahoning Valley Ambulance were also among those who attended. The class was taught by Guy Arndt and Bob Lipsky from Bucks County Community College.
