Democratic club

The Nesquehoning Democratic Club will hold a meeting on Sunday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. at the Lions Club building.

All interested Democrats are invited to discuss various positions on the ballot for the upcoming primary election on May 17. Refreshments will be served.

Woman's club

The Nesquehoning Woman's Club will not hold meetings in January and February due to the winter months. The next meeting is March 7 with Jane Pietruch serving as hospitality chairperson. Her committee is Florence Kovatch, Jean Mikovich, Maureen Ouly, Ann Paulakovich, and Nancy Totani.

At that meeting Joseph Paluck will speak on women and heart disease.
