FT supers warn that police will be watching

An area along Long Run Road in Franklin Township has been become a dumping ground for old, used tires. After being alerted to the situation, Franklin Township chairman Rod Green said that he will instruct the township work crew to clean up the area. He said that the area will be watched by township police and the person or persons dumping the tires will be cited. Green said that it will cost the township approximately $4 a tire for disposal. The area where the tires are dumped is in the proximity of where the old Lehighton dump was situated.
