Calling all artists to annual art show
LINDA KOEHLER/TIMES NEWS Paula Zelinka of Palmerton is working on a watercolor painting. She will be one of the artists displaying her work at the Palmerton Area Library Art Show and Lunch on Sunday, Jan. 23. She is donating a watercolor painting she did of the library as one of the raffle prizes.
The Palmerton Area Library will be holding its annual Art Show and Lunch on Sunday, Jan. 23 from 12-3 p.m. at the library. They are looking for artists to display their work.
If interested, bring no more than three pieces of work.
Pieces must be framed and ready to hang with a wire on the back.
Paintings should be delivered to the library no later than noon on Thursday, Jan. 20.
Each artist may set his/her own price on each work at the time of registration. If the work sells, the library keeps 20 percent and the artist receives 80 percent of the selling price.
Work not sold the day of the show will remain on display for two weeks at which time the artist must return to the library to pick up unsold items.
There is no entry fee for artists to display their work.
The library will have a small Chinese auction of art related items during the month of January before the show. Please let the library know if you have a small item to donate for the auction (note cards, a small print, etc.)
Any questions, please call the library at 610-826-3424.
