The engagement of Kayla Sherry, daughter of David and Kimberly Sherry of Lehighton, and Andrew Bowman, son of Michael and Janice Bowman of Ashfield, has been announced by the couple's parents.

The bride-to-be is a junior at East Stroudsburg University, where she is majoring in elementary education, and minoring in English.The prospective bridegroom is a junior at Kutztown University, where he is majoring in music education.A 2013 wedding is being planned.
