Carbon salary board acts on several motions

In addition to setting the salaries of all of Carbon County's employees, the county salary board acted on the following motions during its annual salary board meeting on Monday.

Court Administration

• Change the salary of one law clerk from $31,158.40 per year; to $32,104.80 per year, effective Jan. 4.

• Change the rate of one judicial secretary from $16.35 per hour, to $16.84 per hour, effective Jan. 4.

District Justice

• Abolish the position of one district justice secretary I floater (trainee) at $10.93 per hour, effective Jan. 3.

Register of Wills

• Change the salary of one first deputy from $27,136.20 per year to $27,955.20 per year, effective Jan. 5.

Treasurer

• Establish the position of two part-time licensing clerks* at $9.91 per hour, effective Jan. 3.

Area Agency on Aging

• Change the positions of five part-time senior center manager I's from "not anticipated to work 1,000 hours" to "anticipated to work 1,000 hours," effective Jan. 1.

• Abolish the positions of seven part-time senior center manager I's at $10.40 per hour, effective Jan. 1.

Children and Youth Services

• Establish the position of one county caseworker II at $15.53 per hour, effective Jan. 3.

• Abolish the position of one county caseworker I at $13.29 per hour, effective Jan. 3.

Commissioners' Office

• Establish the position of one part-time parking attendant at $9.45 per hour, effective Jan. 3.

Corrections

• Abolish the position of one inmate health coordinator at $19.64 per hour, effective Jan. 1.

• Establish the position of one part-time Live Scan operator* at $11.26 per hour.

* Excluded from retirement plan not anticipated to work 1,000 hours.
