Just before 8 p.m. Monday, emergency personnel were called to a vehicle rollover on the southbound side of Claremont Ave ( SR309), in Hometown, rush Township. Reportedly, while driving south a young female driver lost control and flipped her red 1998 Saturn sedan while undershooting a turn. The car hit a guard rail, became airborne, flipped, and came to rest just past the entrance to the Still Creek Water Treatment Filtration Plant. The female driver was given a field sobriety test and taken into custody. A sleeping male passenger was also in the vehicle when the accident occurred. Township police are investigating. Responding were Hometown Fire Company, fire police, and Quakake fire police. No serious injuries were reported.
