West Penn Township police are investigating a crash early Saturday morning which left the female driver of the car injured. The crash occurred just before 3 a.m. at the intersection of SR309 and SR443 East. The woman was driving north on SR309 when she apparently lost control of her vehicle with the unit swerving onto the right berm impacting with a large rock and a tree. She was treated at the scene by members of the Penn Mahoning ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to an area hospital.
