Ice causes Summit Hill crash

A young woman was injured in a crash Saturday morning after her car came in contact with a large patch of ice along East White Bear Drive in Summit Hill. The crash occurred just after 9 a.m. as she was driving west about a mile west of SR902. After sliding on the ice her car left the right berm striking several objects along the berm before rolling onto its roof. She was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics and transported to an area hospital. The patch of ice measured almost a hundred yards in length. Summit Hill police are investigating the incident.
