West Penn Township Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred early Thursday morning at a business located in the Village Center Mall in Snyders.

An unknown driver smashed a vehicle into the door and window of the Kitchen of Dreams Custom Cabinetry business. West Penn Police Chief Brian Johnson estimated the hit-and-run occurred Thursday morning between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m.

Business owner Walter Fleck said a nearbybusiness alerted him to the damage. He also said nothing was stolen and he is still open for business.

Fleck also said this was the second time in recent years that a vehicle has damaged his business. About three years ago, an elderly woman mistook her gas pedal for the brake and accidentally plowed her car into the side of the business.

West Penn Police are still investigating Thursday's incident and encourage anyone who might have any information to call the station at (570) 386-1100.
