McCann "Battle For Battle" funds go to ACS

Staff from the Pottsville Campus of McCann School of Business and Technology has donated funds to the American Cancer Society that were raised from the "Battle for the Battle" Event that took place at Lakeside Ballroom on Dec. 3, 2010. During this event, 11 bands from eight different local high schools came to together in support of a good cause with a battle of the bands and dance off competition. A total of $2,200 was raised and the proceeds were split between the Schuylkill, Carbon/Tamaqua, and Hazleton Units of the American Cancer Society. Participating in the check presentation were, from left, Lori Kane, Community Relations Specialist for McCann School of Business & Technology; Judy Hoppes, Senior Cancer Control Specialist for the American Cancer Society; and Shannon Brennan, Campus Director for the Pottsville Campus of McCann School of Business and Technology.
