Leasers Corner Store offers good sandwiches at a good price
Gail Maholick/TIMES NEWS Marshall and Melissa Leaser recently opened Leaser's Corner Store at 828 Main Road, (Franklin Township) Lehighton, at the corner of Main Road and Penn Street, across the street from the Phifer Ice Dam Park. Leaser's Corner Store offers sandwiches, pizza, wrap sandwiches, hot dogs and soups.
Fast food can be good food - at least it is at Leaser's Corner Store.
Marshall and Melissa Leaser found their slice of business ownership heaven when they recently opened Leaser's Country Store at 828 Main Road, (Franklin Township) Lehighton.
The store is more of a deli stop than a grocery store since it is the place to go for a hoagie, wraps, salad or pizza, made fresh before your eyes.
They stock only the best cold cuts, freshest salads and breads. They offer sandwich fixings on rolls and flat breads, or as a salad, your choice. For your wrap sandwich, they offer a flavor choice of white or tomato/basil flat breads.
"We've always wanted to own our own business," said Melissa. "This place caught our eye."
Melissa is the former Melissa Strohl of Indian Hill Road, Franklin Township, and daytime customers will find her parents Keith and Susan Strohl behind the counter. After the couple finish working, they take over the counter, providing fresh filling sandwiches at a good price. Marshall also grew up locally in Mahoning Township.
Along with a variety of cold cut style sandwiches with plenty of toppings, they offer a variety of cold salad sandwiches, such as chicken, tuna, seafood and egg and salad side dishes, such as red skin potato, pasta, macaroni salads and cole slaw.
For anyone who needs to feed a crowd, Marshall and Melissa will rustle up meat trays made to order or hoagie platters.
For those who have a need to build their own sandwich, the cold cuts are available in bulk.
They also carry a daily homemade soup and on weekends, there are always two hot soup choices available.
They also carry hot dogs with cheese, sauerkraut or chili toppings and meal deals which include soup and a drink. They also carry snack items, bread, milk and some candy items.
There is seating inside the store or take outs are available. Leasers will also deliver your order within the local area.
When spring appears, the Leasers will be offering ice cream and milk shakes, plus bait and tackle items. They also plan to increase their hours in the spring to cater to the schedule of the Little League players. Currently they are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. To place an order or for additional information, call Leaser's Corner Store at (610) 379-4747.
"Our slogan is "Come and meat us." said Marshall. "We want you to try our sandwiches and you'll be back."
Leasers Country Store also has a friendly policy. For every 10 sandwiches you buy, you get one free.
