The Tamaqua Area School Board hired two girls softball coaches at its monthly meeting on Tuesday.

Terry L. Knoblauch was named head junior varsity softball coach, at a salary of $2,025. Knoblauch is a former Lady Raiders head softball coach. His daughter, Jillian Barron, is the current head softball coach at Tamaqua.Lynn Deiter was appointed as assistant junior varsity softball coach at $1,025.
