Frank Ruch announces candidacy for Carbon County commissioner
Frank Ruch announces his candidacy for the office of Carbon County Commissioner. He is the son of DelRoy and Orpah (Solt) Ruch and has been a lifelong resident of Carbon County. He presently resides in Lehighton, with his wife, Lori, an employee of PenTeleData, and his son Brandon, a student at the Lehighton Area Middle School.
A graduate of Lehighton Area High School and Carbon County Vocational Technical School, Ruch attended the Williamsport Area Community College and is currently employed by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
Ruch is a Mahoning Township supervisor, where he currently serves as vice chairman. Most recently he was a member of the Lehighton Area School Board, having served four years in the capacity of vice president, as well as chairman of several committees. He was also on the board of the Carbon Career and Technical Institute where he served two years as vice chairman and two years as chairman.
Ruch is a life member of Mahoning Valley Volunteer Fire Company, where he served as an active member in the capacity of captain, lieutenant and also vice president of the fire company. He currently holds memberships in the Lehigh Fire Co. No. 1 as a life member, as well as, the Mahoning Valley Ambulance Association, Lehighton Legion Post 314 and the Mahoning Township Lions Club. Ruch and his family are members of St. Peters Church in Mantzville, where he had served on the board, as well as the building committee.
