Various construction plans reviewed by county board
A proposed amendment to the East Union Township zoning ordinance to enact a new flood plain management regulations was among the projects reviewed by the Schuylkill County Planning Commission at its monthly meeting held Wednesday evening at the courthouse in Pottsville. The board had no comment to the amendment and also had no comment on other plans reviewed as they complied with county regulations.
An application submitted on behalf of Reserve Homes, LLC, to Department of Environmental Protectinon (DEP), for a permit for the discharge of storm water from construction activities on a project consisting of a six lot subdivision with utilities and storm water facilities on a 15 acre site located on Owl Creek Road, Tamaqua.
An application submitted on behalf of Little Washington Water Company for a permit from DEP for a 51 lot expansion of the existing planned residential development of Eagle Rock-AW South in North Union Township.
An application on behalf of North Manheim Township supervisors to DEP for a stormwater outfall structures at the propose municipal building project which involves the construction of three outfall pipes for discharge and willl be located 0.4 of a mile north of intersection SR61 and Manheim Road and approximately100 feet west of Manheim Road in the township.
A joint permit application was submitted on behalf of West Brunswick Township supervisors to DEP for the replacement of the existing Auburn Arch Bridge over the Schuylkill River, located on SR895 and the relocation of approximately 1,600 feet of road to the east of its current location.
An application was submitted on behalf of Pennsy Supply Company Inc. requesting to modify an existing surface mine permit knonw as the Summit Quarry in Wayne Township.
An application was submitted to DEP on behalf of Northeastern ITS, LLC, seeking a major modification of its permit authorizing discharge of stormwater during construction activities for Wilderness Fiber installation project and to amend the following joint application for Pennsylvania Water Obstruction and Encrouchment Permit and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit for Schuylkill, Northampton, Lehigh and Northumberland counties.
An application on behalf of Daniel Perlman to DEP for the discharge of stormwater from the construction of a retail business on an existing 2.2 acres lot located on the west side of SR183, approximately 1.75 miles south of SR443 in Wayne Township.
An application on behalf of DC&M, LLC, to DEP for a permit for stormwater discharges from the construction of a 70 unit hotel located along Morea Road, Mahanoy Township, from the on-ramp of Interstate 81.
The commission approved the subdivision plan of The Frantz Family Credit Trust, Washington Township, to subdivide 13.06 acres for annexation. A conditional approval was given to the subdivision plan of Joseph Q. Rodriguez, Mahanoy City, to subdivide 0.036 of an acre into one lot but not for development. A sixth extension of time was granted to Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle Power Plant in Frailey and Porter townships. The extension is for 90 days.
The commission reviewed the preliminary subdivision plan of Hunters View which seeks to develop 107 single family and 254 townhouses in West Brunswick Township. The board members had no comment and returned the plan for further action by the township's planning board.
