Penn's Peak Office Party 're-invented'

Layne Roberts, known as "The Doc" on Penn's Peak Radio, said his daily 9-1 Office Party is being "re-invented."

Starting Monday, The Doc will have a co-host, a new format, and even a new name: Doc & Leah with the Daily Bump and Grind. The show will still air live, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m."It will be a very eclectric show," said The Doc.The co-host is Leah Holmes, who will just go by the name "Leah."Although she has reportedly done extensive work behind the mic, this is her first time co-hosting a live radio show that's simultaneously broadcast on television. It airs on Blue Ridge Cable Digital Channel 113. It can also be heard on Channel 80 of Blue Ridge Cable TV, and streamed onto computers by visiting the Web site at pennspeakradio.com.What will be especially unique is that every day of the week has a theme. The Doc stressed that there also will still be plenty of country and rock music played on Penn's Peak Radio. The daily themes will be as follows:• Mouth-off Mondays - Doc said, "We invite listeners to call in and gripe about anything they want to get off their chest, so they don't take it out on their co-workers."• Edible Tuesdays - Each week a local restaurant will be featured on the show, and the signature dish of the restaurant will be sampled.• Intoxicating Wednesday - Doc explained that this is a new feature which involves Beer Magazine.• Thursday: Strange New Products - The crew takes a look at some unique items.• Freebie Fridays - Any topic can occur.Leah, a native of Clarks Summit, now resides in the Lehigh Valley. She said she's looking forward to being a part of Penn's Peak Radio programming. When asked what to expect, she said, "It's off the cuff. You never know what's going to happen so you have to listen."She stressed that the program will have give-aways."We'll have words of wisdom and nonsensical banter," said The Doc. "We have an interesting line-up of guests coming on the show."The Doc said anyone interested in appearing on Doc & Leah with the Daily Bump and Grind should e-mail
