Nesquehoning police are investigating the armed robbery of the Turkey Hill minimart along West Catawissa Street Sunday night. A lone male dressed in hooded brown coveralls with a blue bandanna and white knit cap entered the store around 11:30 p.m. After grabbing what was described as a small amount of money, he made his getaway running behind the business. Police from Carbon and Schuylkill counties set up a perimeter around the community closing down the intersection of state routes 93 and 209. Rush Township police closed down SR54 and Lansford and Jim Thorpe closed down SR209 (shown in photo) on the Wash Shanty Hill.
