Two 'fender-benders' probed

Published February 08. 2011 05:00PM

The weekend's icy weather contributed to two minor accidents in Tamaqua.

On Friday Pamela Hoffmaster, of Willing Street, Tamaqua, was backing into a parking space near her home when her Oldsmobile Sierra slid and struck a parked Trailblazer owned by Raymond Woodring, of Tamaqua.

At 10 a.m. Saturday Maggie Magrini, of 402 Arlington St., Tamaqua, was traveling north on Schuylkill Avenue in a Toyota Corolla when her vehicle slid on ice and struck a parked Chevrolet Cavalier owned by Rae Alexi Darker.

There were no injuries and damage was termed " light" in both cases.
