Jim Thorpe and Palmerton gained wins in both boys and girls basketball on Friday.

The Olympian boys defeated Tamaqua while the girls downed Pottsville.Both Bomber teams, meanwhile, were winners over Northwestern.BOYS BASKETBALLES South-LehightonThe Cavaliers broke open a close game with a 30-point second quarter and rolled to a 65-41 win over the Indians.Kwaame Simmons scored eight of his 11 points in the quarter for the Cavaliers and Kashawn McLaughlin and John Caldera added eight each.
