Ashley N. Starry weds Christopher R. Perrins

Ashley Nicole Starry of Lakeland, Fla. and formerly of Summit Hill, became the bride of Lance Cpl. Christopher Robert Perrins of Camp Pendleton, Calif. on July 11, 2010 at St. Katharine Drexel Church in Lansford.

The Rev. Kenneth Medve officiated at the double ring ceremony. Jeana DePuy was the organist, while Amy DePuy was the soloist.The bride was given in marriage by her mother, Mary Ann Starry of Lakeland, and also formerly of Summit Hill. She chose Kristan Donahue, Wilkes-Barre, as maid of honor.Bridesmaids included Amanda Pavlick, Summit Hill; Carrie Adams, Tampa, Fla.; Casey Stephens, Tamaqua; and Maria Elizarova, East Brunswick, N.J.The best man was Matthew Bosek of Wilkes-Barre. Ushers included Jason Starry, Tampa, Fla., brother of the bride; Adam Klinges, Wilkes-Barre; Peter Miller, Dallas, Pa.; and Ryan Pettit, Shavertown, Pa.Following the reception the couple welcomed family and friends to a reception at the Waterfront Banquet Facility in Wilkes-Barre.The bride is a 2008 graduate of King's College where she earned a bachelor of science in biology. She is a 2010 graduate of Tampa General Hospital School of Medical Technology. She is currently employed by Florida Blood Services as a medical technologist.The bridegroom is the son of Pamela Johnson of Pine Hill, N.J. and Robert Perrins of Harvey's Lake, Pa. In 2004 he received an associate degree from Luzerne County Community College. He is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps.The couple honeymooned in California where the groom was stationed prior to his August deployment to Afghanistan.
