Three persons were hurt in a three-vehicle crash at 4:07 p.m. Dec. 20 on Route 61, in the area of Blue Mountain Road, in Port Clinton.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said all three persons were drivers of the vehicles involved in the crash. Brandon Bashore, 20, of Schuylkill Haven, and Jeffrey Rarick, 50, of Orwigsburg, sustained minor injuries while Monique Brennan, 28, of Pottsville, was moderately injured, police said.

Police said the accident happened when a 2000 Mercedes Benz driven southbound on rt. 61 by Bashore traveled over the concrete divider separating the northbound and southbound lanes and began spinning, striking a 2004 Ford Focus operated by Brennan headon. The Benz continued spinning and hit the left side of a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country van driven by Rarick.

Police said Bashore was transported to the Reading Hospital while Brennan was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisburt Township.

The vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed from the scene.
