St. John's UCC holds Cantata in memory of Don Young

Members of the St. John's UCC in Tamaqua held a Christmas Cantata recently called "Mary, Did You Know" as part of their annual Christmas celebration. The event was held in memory of Donald Young, who passed away in March of this year.

The cantata involved songs and medleys sung by the choir and accompanied by musicians.

Participants were Joan Hess, Marion Miller, Nancy Nunemacher, Diane Johnson, Brenda Bachert, Kathy Gill, Emily Young, Linda Musseman, Jaquie Shafer, Christina Linder, Cathy Tomchick, Holly Lutz, Sandy Waidell, Jim Moll, Bob Gill, Dodie Sassaman, Roberta Coccio, Paul Randig and Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy.

Accompanists were Liz Seltzer, flute; Ben Shafer, saxophone; Lee Shafer, clarinet; George Waidell, guitar; and Albie Coccio, drums.

Parishioners said "Young was a lifelong and cherished member of both our church and choir."
