Jewelry, gun stolen in Effort

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between 1:30-2:30 p.m. Dec. 20 at a home in Monroe County.

The victim is Linda Stica of Effort.

She told police someone entered her home located at 94 Chipperfield Drive, Chestnuthill Township, by forcing open a rear sliding glass door. Once inside, the intruder(s) stole jewelry and a .38-caliber revolver that was in a soft, samouflage case.

Police said the actor(s) fled out the front door and escaped in a light gray or silver Hyundai Tiburon. The vehicle has apine sticker in the center of its rear window.
