Winners of the annual National Geographic Geography Bee held at Weatherly Area High School are: Cyrick Thomas, school champion; Even Kunkle, second place; and Ryan Kelly, third place. Also pictured is WASD Superintendent Thomas McLaughlin. The competition was open to seventh and eighth grade students, with the winner, Thomas, advancing on to the next level of competition, the state level. He will also be eligible to compete in the national championship to be held in Washington, D.C. in May. Other finalists were John Hinkle, Gareth Perez, Samantha DeSpirito, Maddie Hartz, Drew Solonoski, Kim Harrison and Summer Peck.
