Schuylkill breakin is investigated

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between 10:30 p.m. Dec. 14 and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at a residence in Porter Township.

The victims are Michael S. Romberger, 32, and Drew E. Romberger, 30, of Main Street, Tremont.

Police said someone forced open a coal chute at the home and entered it via the basement. Once inside, they stole several tools, including a Dewalt cordless saw, a Dewalt cordless drill and a 145-piece Stanley tool kit, along with a Rossi double-barrel shotgun, a 30/30 Winchester lever-action rifle and a pink cricket 22-bolt action single-shot shotgun.
