Paintballs fired at area homes

Criminal mischief incidents at a home in Eldred Township, Monroe County, and Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, are being investigated by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

One incident was reported at 1:45 a.m. Dec. 11. The victim is a 52-year-old resident along Silver Spring Boulevard, Eldred Township.

Police said someone fired the paintballs at the exterior of the home. Earlier in the evening, police were also called there when someone damaged the same victim's mailbox, police said.

In other reports, police said Jason Green, 41, of 381 Silfies Road, Kunkletown, reported someone shot numerous paintballs at his outbuildings and vehicle between Dec. 10-11, and Charles J. Woodburg, 55, of 429 Correll Road, Kunkletown, also reported damaged to his house and vehicle via the same mischief. The paintballs were fired there between 9 p.m. Dec. 10 and 9 a.m. Dec. 11, police said.

Deborah Ann Whitemore, 57, of 488 Silfies Road, Kunkletown, who is also an Eldred Township resident, reported paintball damage to her house that happened between 10 p.m. Dec. 10 and 11 a.m. Dec. 11.

In the Carbon incident, the victim, Jennifer Blunt, 24, of 2975 57 Drive, Kunkletown, told police several paintballs were fired at her residence an an unknown time on Dec. 12.
