Miller Keystone blood drive

Miller-Keystone Blood Center will conduct its bimonthly blood drive on Friday, Dec. 16, at the First United Church of Christ, next to Palmerton Borough Hall. Registration hours are 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 3-5:30 p.m. This visit is sponsored by Quinton and Dolly Snyder.

Because Trima machines will no longer be brought to mobile blood drives, more whole blood donors are needed to reach the goal. College students home for the holidays are especially urged to attend. Anyone deferred at the high school on Nov. 7 is invited to try again. Parental permission is not needed. New donors are always welcome. Minimum requirements are: 17 years of age; 110 pounds; no tattoos or body piercing within the last 12 months; and general good health.

New donors should bring photo ID, such as a driver's license. Previous Miller donors are reminded to bring their Miller cards. For more information, or to make an appointment, call George at (610) 826-2097.
