Schuylkill Haven Army Reserve treat children in Tamaqua
ANDREW LEIBENGUTH/TIMES NEWS The gymnasium of the Tamaqua Salvation Army was filled during the holiday gathering.
Hundreds of soldiers and Family Readiness Group volunteers with the Schuylkill Haven Army Reserve Alpha Company FSC, 365 Engineer Battalion, held their children's Christmas party.
This was the third year of the holiday event, which was held in the gymnasium of the Tamaqua Salvation Army.
Officers with both the Army Reserve and Tamaqua Salvation Army stated how they enjoyed working together for the holidays.
The event consisted of holiday games and a visit with Santa Claus, who gave gifts to all the children.
Santa was played by SSgt. Michael Geisick, while the elf was played by Specialist Christopher Johnson.
