The Regional Union of Holy Name Societies of Carbon and Schuylkill Counties opened its campaign to block the sale of obscene literature in the Panther Valley and Carbon County area at a meeting held in St. Michael's Church, Lansford. The group voted to war on obscene literature by urging civic groups and fraternal organizations to take similar action. The ultimate aim is to rid newstands and book stores as well as other sources of sale. They plan to take their fight to the courts if necessary.
