Break-ins and theft incidents probed

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating burglaries and theft incidents recently.

A burglary occurred at the home of Saleem Ahmad, located at 194 Bishop Circle, Towamensing Trails, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. Removed from the home was a television. The incident occurred sometime between 7 a.m. on Nov. 27 and 2:21 p.m. on Nov. 28.

A break-in occurred at the Radio Shack in the West End Plaza, located along SR209, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. The criminals cut a hole in the roof of the building. Troopers said nothing apparently was taken. The incident occurred sometime between 7 p.m. on Nov. 29 and 9 a.m. on Nov. 30.

Troopers are investigating an attempted burglary at the Skirmish property located at 211 N. Meckesville Rd., in Penn Forest Township. Sometime between 5 p.m. Nov. 28 and noon on Nov. 29 unknown criminals attempted to enter the Pro Shop. A lock was broken by no entry was made. Damages to the lock and door were estimated at $750.

Tracy W. Gunther, 50, of 6832 Beech Lane, Saylorsburg, Chestnuthill Township, reported a Penn State flag was removed from her front yard sometime between Nov. 24-26. The flag is valued at $50.

A 55-year-old male from New York reported a Lexus, green in color, was removed from his residence at 520 Patton Circle, in Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, sometime between Oct. 9 and 16.
