Vehicle stop leads to two drug arrests

A vehicle stop in Carbon County led to the arrest of the driver and passenger on drug charges.

State police at Lehighton said troopers stopped a 1994 Dodge Spirit about 1:27 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the intersection of Bridge and White sts., in Weissport, for a stop sign violation.

At the stop troopers observed in plain view a bundle which contained 10 baggies of heroin on the floor in the rear of the car.

The driver, David A. Drucker, of the 400 block of Danville, Montour County, consented to a search of the vehicle. In addition to the drugs also found was three used needles along wtih several empty heroin baggies.

Drucker was charged with possession of a controlled substance-heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. His passenger, Cassandra L. Poole, same address as Drucker, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
