Two persons are cited in incident

An altercation that happened at 10:10 p.m. Aug. 25 in Towamensing Trails, Penn Forest Township, resulted in two persons being cited by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.

Police said Arcadio Vera, 47, and George R. Shepherdson, 41, both of Albrightsville, were cited on a summary charge of harassment after the incident.

Police said Vera became involved in an altercation with a 16-year-old female that was near a disabled vehicle at Box 145, Towamensing Trails, during which time he used his upper body to shove the girl. Police said Shepherdson arrived at the scene and became involved in an altercation with Vera, striking the latter with the door of Vera's vehicle by pushing it closed on him. Police said it is also alleged Shepherdson spit on Vera and threatened to beat him.
