Fleetwood man is facing charges
An incident at 8:45 p.m. Aug. 30 in Port Clinton resulted in a Fleetwood man being arrested by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.
Police said Daniel Ruch, 30, was charged with defiant trespass, persistent disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, harassment, criminal mischief and simple trespass after the incident at 73 Center St. in the borough.
The victim is Matthew Carroll Sr., 28, of Port Clinton.
Police said Ruch went to the Carroll residence to get a cell phone and wanted to take his son from the home but the request was refused by Ruch's ex-wife because the man was intoxicated. Police said Ruch persistently kept trying to enter the residence after Carroll told him to get off his property.
The two men shoved each other several times, resulting in Ruch falling to the ground. Police said he got up and pushed Carroll, resulting in the two men wrestling to the ground. Police said after Carroll went into his home, Ruch hit the door window with an unknown object, smashing the glass.
