Hearing continued for man charged with raping juvenile

A hearing that was scheduled Wednesday for a former Summit Hill man charged with raping a young girl was continued until Sept. 7.

Nicholas D. Molino Sr., 42, of Wilkes-Barre, has been charged with rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, sexual assault, four counts of aggravated indecent assault, three counts of indecent assault, endangering welfare of children, and corruption of minors.

He is currently being housed in Carbon County Prison.

The allegations stem from when Molino resided at a residence on East Fell street in Summit Hill.

The young girl was under the age of 12 at the time the allegations happened, according to the affidavit.

The arresting office is Lori Lienhard of the Summit Hill Police Department.
