Drug deal turns into a robbery
A drug deal turned into an armed robbery in Monroe County. Pocono Mountain Regional police said the incident occurred about 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, in the parking lot of St. Mary's church in Mt. Pocono.
According to police two male juveniles attempted to purchase narcotics in the church parking lot at the time and date stated. At this point the suspects in the robbery robbed one of the juveniles while displaying a firearm. Taken was $101 in U.S. currency.
One of the victims gave information to police which led them to a residence in the A Pocono Country Place development. When police arrived two of the suspects fled into the nearby woods. A K-9 unit was used and the two were apprehended. The third suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The suspects were identified as Tykee Lamont Ducksworth, 20, Edward E. Hennix III, 19, and a 16-year-old male juvenile.
