Published August 15. 2011 05:02PM

The Mauch Chunk Museum is looking for people who want to have some fun lending their talents, skills and ideas to their fundraising efforts for the ongoing preservation of the Kemmerer Carriage House.

Halloween lovers, Civil War buffs, actors and general volunteers are invited to attend an Open House on Friday, August 19 from 5-8 p.m. at the Kemmerer Carriage House for a forthcoming being held Nov 4, 5, & 6.

Re-enactors, historians and general volunteers are welcome. Opportunities exist to develop ghastly scenes taken from gothic Victorian novels, and haunt the grounds of the former Kemmerer estate for a few evenings in October during our Front Hill Horror fundraiser.

Information on the Kemmerer Carriage House and the Kemmerer estate's past, present and future will be on display. Beverages and snacks will be available.

The Kemmerer Carriage House is in Kemmerer Park near the Asa Packer and Harry Packer mansions on in Jim Thorpe. For directions or information call 484-226-0007, email: or visit:
