Schuylkill drivers in Lehigh crashes
Two Schuylkill County drivers were involved in crashes in Lehigh County in separate incidents.
State police at Fogelsville said a crash occurred about 12:16 p.m. on Aug. 11 along SR309 in Lynn Township. Troopers said John D. Kreiser, 64, of Lebanon, was stopped at a stop sign along SR143 at 309 while Deanna D. Dekle, 48, of New Ringgold, was southbound on 309. Troopers said Kreiser then pulled out into the path of Dekle. Dekle's 2001 Subaru Forester then struck Kreiser's 1999 Ford F-405 truck.
Dekle and passengers Allyssa B. Powell, 19, of Germansville, and Marcus R. Dekle, 58, of New Ringgold, were all injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Townshipo, by Northwestern and Centronia ambulances. Another passenger, Emilee Dekle, 5, New Ringgold, was not injured.
Kresier was not injured. Troopers cited Kreiser for stop sign violation.
Troopers investigated a one vehilce crash about 9:34 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, along SR100 in Lowhill Township. Troopers said Daniel Brown, 25, of Ringtown, was driving a 2000 Ford F-150 truck northbound and driving too fast for conditions as it was raining heavily on the winding roadway.
Brown lost control of the truck, crossed the double yellow line, spun around going onto the berm and a grass embankment.
The truck overturned three times before coming to rest in the northbound lane.
Brown and his passenger, Lee D. Eikszta, 33, of Shenandoah, was injured and taken to the LVH by Northwestern ambulance. Troopers said Brown was cited for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
