Quick response saves Towamensing home

Quick response by area firefighters saved a dwelling Saturday morning in Towamensing Township. The incident began just after 8 a.m. when there was a report of a kitchen fire at 1495 Koch Road. Fire companies from Towamensing and Franklin townships responded to the scene. Damage was limited and the fire contained. No injuries were reported to the occupant of the home. Also responding was the Palmerton ambulance. Towamensing township fie police maintained traffic control at the scene.
