Deer blamed for Schuylkill crash

A deer has been blamed for a crash in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Anthony Dombrosky, of Pottsville, was driving a 1993 Ford F-150 truck southbound on Moss Glen Road in Schuylkill Township, about 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14, when a deer entered the road in front of him.

Dombrosky swerved his truck to the right to avoid the deer with the vehicle going onto the west berm. It went down a slight embankmetn for about 25 feet before striking a tree with the right front corner.

Dombrosky was not injured but a passenger, Tammy McShaw, also of Pottsville, was injured but troopers did not indicate if she required medical treatment.

Troopers added that Dombrosky will be cited for the crash.
