Theft incident probed in Tamaqua

The theft of two ladder jacks is being investigated by Tamaqua police.

Michael Hodge, 52, of 132 N. Greenwood St., reported the theft at 11:25 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1.

Hodge said the jacks had been hidden under his back porch, along with several small tools.

The items are actually owned by Joseph Hartranft of Newkirk, who left them at Hodge's home in the early spring.

The other tools remained undisturbed.
