The engagement of Rachel Holmberg to Ted Oberg, both of Shavertown, has been announced by her parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joseph and Deborah Holmberg of Tamaqua. She graduated from Tamaqua Area High School in 2003.In 2007 she graduated from Misericordia University with a bachelor of science in sport management, and in 2010 she earned a master of business administration from Misericordia.She has been employed at Misericordia University as a senior admissions counselor since 2007.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Christopher and Diane Oberg of Lancaster.He graduated from Susquehannock High School in 2004 and Messiah College in 2008 with a bachelor of science in marketing.He has been employed as a financial adviser for Edward Jones since 2008.The wedding is set for May 19, 2012.
