August 4, 1972 George Malik earns the pitching win and also collects three hits at the plate to help lead Nesquehoning to a 10-6 victory over Tamaqua and clinch the Panther Valley Little League tournament championship. Charlie McAvoy finishes with three hits and two runs scored, while Ted Knox and Steve Feddock both contribute two hits and two runs scored. Bruce Nalesnik and Joe Matalone also chip in with a pair of hits.
