A Carbon County woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash that occurred about 5:51 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2, along SR145 (Riverview Drive), in Lehigh Township, Northampton County.

The crash was near Walnutport.

Township police said the accident occurred when Jeremy Ambearly, 23, of Coplay, was driving a truck southbound and crossed over into the northbound lane.

His truck struck a Nissan Sentra drive-in by Ryan Sharkazy, 24, of Whitehall.

After impacting with the Nissan, Ambearly's truck continued in the northbound lane and collided with a Mercury Milan operated by Jean Livengood, 49, of Lehighton.

Livengood was flown by PennStar helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, police said.

However, a hospital spokesperson had no record of Livengood being treated at the hospital.

Ambearly was taken by ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment. Sharkazy was not injured.

The road was closed for about two hours, police said.

Assisting police at the scene were volunteers from the Lehigh Township and Walnutport fire companies and Northampton Regional EMS unit.
